One of the most important measures of audio performance is the Signal to
Noise (S/N) ratio. This ratio shows how much undesired extra noise has been
added to the audio signal by the audio system. When comparing the DFX USB Adapter
to popular PC desktops and laptops we found that the DFX USB Adapter improved the
S/N ratio by as much as 22 dB, and in no case was the improvement less than
10 dB. The laboratory testing showed similar dramatic improvements in reduced
distortion and improved audio separation.
