Quick start guide: How to enhance a song file

By using advanced patent-pending processing, iDFX enhances your existing MP3 and AAC song files, and for the first time your iPod will provide the rich full sound quality of the original CD recordings. Let's get started.

  1. Launch iDFX:
    • Double-click the iDFX icon on your desktop, or
    • Select Windows Start menu → All Programs → iDFX → iDFX

    Both iDFX and iTunes windows will appear.

  2. In iTunes, select a song from the list view:

    Note: only non-DRM protected MP3 and AAC audio files may be enhanced.

  3. In iDFX, click on the "Enhance Selected Songs" button:

    Click on Enhance Selected Songs

    iDFX will begin processing your selected song file and create an enhanced version.

  4. Done! After processing completes a playback window will appear:

    • Click the Play button to hear the iDFX enhanced version of the song you processed.
    • Click the Compare button to hear the original version of the song you selected, and switch between the two for comparison.

    Tip: You may now sync iTunes with your iPod, iPhone, or other portable music device to hear the iDFX enhanced copies of your music on them. Please refer to the device manufacturer's manual for instructions.
