iDFX Options
Click on the Menu button → Options to bring up the iDFX Options window with additional settings:
- Window Always On Top
Select this option to keep the iDFX window always on top of other program windows. Default is
selected.
- Replace Original Song
Select this option if you would like iDFX to replace your original song with the processed
version. If you prefer iDFX to keep your original song along with a newly created processed
version, deselect this option. Default is unselected.
- Append To Processed Song Name
Select this option to customize the tag that gets appended to the name of processed songs.
The default tag appended is " / DfxTuned.com".
- Bring up playback dialog after processing.
Select this option to bring up the playback dialog after processing so you can listen to
the results of your last enhancement. Default is selected.
- Scan library when iTunes is launched.
Select this option to allow iDFX to scan your iTunes library when iTunes is started and
report to you how many of your songs still need iDFX enhancement. This is a very useful
feature for automatically reminding you when you have new songs which need processing.
Default is selected.
- Conversion Format
Select your preferred encoding format for processed songs. The MP3 format is a more common
format and will have a .mp3 filename extension. The AAC format is a newer format which became
standard in iTunes and will have a .m4a filename extension. Default is MP3.
- Conversion Bit Rate
Select your preferred encoding bit rate for processed songs, 256 kbps or 320 kbps.
Note that a higher bit rate means higher quality and larger file size.
Default is 256 kbps.
