What's New with FxSound

A lot has changed with the new FxSound. And we're just getting started.

Better Sound Quality

The first thing we recommend when you first use FxSound is to turn it on and off. Turn on some of your favorite music, stream a video or TV show, fire up a video game, or listen back to a recording. Then turn FxSound on and off to hear the difference for yourself.

To turn FxSound on and off, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Y. Or bring FxSound to the front by pressing Ctrl + Shift + U and click the power button to turn it on and off manually.

New and Redesigned Presets

To quickly switch presets, press Ctrl + Shift + Down Arrow. You can use this keyboard shortcut to cycle down through the preset list, or press Ctrl + Shift + Up Arrow to cycle back up.

You can also switch by right clicking the FxSound taskbar icon and navigating through the preset list. Finally, you can click the drop-down menu with FxSound open to change to your favorite presets.

Keyboard Shortcuts

You can see the full list of shortcuts by opening FxSound (Ctrl + Shift + U) and pressing the settings button. In the general tab, you’ll be able to see the full list.

And if you want to turn the keyboard shortcuts off, just click Disable Hotkeys.

Playback Device Quick Select

To get started, you’ll want to make sure you’ve got the right playback device selected. With FxSound, we’ve added keyboard shortcuts to make it faster than ever to switch playback devices.

Press Ctrl + Shift + Right Arrow to switch to the next playback device in your list. If you want to go back, press Ctrl + Shift + Left Arrow, or continue pressing Ctrl + Shift + Right Arrow to cycle through the entire list and start back at the top.

New Freemium Offering

FxSound Lite gives you full access to 1 hour of the new FxSound quality per day. With FxSound open (Ctrl + Shift + U), click the settings button. Then click account to see how much processing time you have left, and when your limit will reset.

FxSound processing will only count down when you’re playing audio and FxSound is on. No need to turn FxSound off if you’re not playing any audio.

You can download FxSound Lite for free here. And if you want unlimited access, you can subscribe to the new FxSound. With this new subscription model, we're making a commitment to making consistent improvements to the software, so you'll get more and more value for years to come.
